Ecologic divers Belize Scuba Diving 2010 with Jerry Gentile and family – this is a video shot by a videographer and newfound friend Ron Siebert Jr (be sure to ask for him if you go!) in Ambergris Caye, Belize on February 11, 2010.

This was my first “real” diving trip in the Caribbean and needless to say it was tremendous. The undersea life in Belize is as brilliant as are the people on Ambergris Caye.

We also did the great blue hole dive – and I went down to 137 ft and did the cave swimthrough’s with my brother-in-law (he was below me so he was over 140ft).  Yes, I got nitrogen narcosis – even though they warned us it would happen it was an experience I don’t want to happen again.  For me, I had that sudden panic of feeling like I was sinking down into the abyss.  My mind was not working so great down there at that depth but I kept my wits together and realized that I was indeed floating up with the bubbles not down.

Did you know that the reef system off of Belize is the world’s second longest with the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia being the longest?

Enjoy this Belize video compiled by Ron of our dive and other shots he’s taken in the area.  After watching it again I want to go back!
